Alison Dunbar grew up in Sandpoint and graduated from Sandpoint High School. She attended The Evergreen State College, where she earned her Bachelor of Liberal Arts degree. Alison earned her law degree at Tulane University School of Law in New Orleans, Louisiana. She served as a student attorney in the Environmental Law Clinic, which provided the opportunity for her to gain civil litigation experience as a student. The highlight of this experience was Alison's chance to brief a case in the Fifth Circuit, where she was successful.
Alison has developed her litigation and transactions practice in Sandpoint, by assisting her small business and private party clients. Alison specializes in real estate transactions and litigation, including boundary line and easement disputes, quieting title, and homeowner’s association issues. Alison also serves as general counsel for her small business clients, providing employment, contract, and collections advisement.
Alison is pleased to return to her hometown and serve the Sandpoint community with Berg, McLaughlin & Nelson. She serves on the board of the Greater Sandpoint Chamber of Commerce, and chairs the Chamber’s Panhandle Young Professionals committee, and volunteers with Idaho Conservation League.
