Matt Gerard is an Idaho native who grew up on the flat and windy Snake River Plain. He holds undergraduate degrees in communications and chemistry from Idaho State University.
Matt attended the University of Idaho College of Law where he was a member of the Idaho Law Review, Sergeant-at-Arms of the Student Bar Association, and the president of two student organizations. He also served in the school’s Legal Aid Clinic where he and other immigration clinic members successfully argued a motion before the U.S. Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
During law school, Matt and his wife frequently traveled to Sandpoint and fell in love with the people and the beautiful scenery. He participated in several service organizations that benefitted the Idaho Falls community, and seeks opportunities to serve the Sandpoint area as well.
Matt enjoys many outdoor activities including, skiing and playing on the lake. When he is not tearing up twisty Idaho roads on his motorcycle, Matt can be found banging away on his drum kit.
